OGA Announces 2022 Annual Award Winners
The Oregon Golf Association presented its 2022 Annual Awards at the Association’s Annual Meeting held Monday, Oct. 17 at Tualatin Country Club.
Each year the OGA awards annual recognition to members, clubs, PGA Professionals and more for their commitment and diligence in working with the OGA, with their community and with other allied golf organizations.
The following is a list of award descriptions and winners for 2022:

- OGA Member of the Year: Rick Eide (Players Club at OGA GC – Woodburn, Ore.) – This award recognizes an OGA member for outstanding contributions to their community, the game of golf, accomplishments on the golf course or their involvement with the OGA.
- OGA Member Club of the Year: Gearhart Golf Links (Gearhart, Ore.) – This award recognizes an OGA member club (or clubs) for outstanding contributions to the game of golf, the community or the OGA.
- Handicap Chair of the Year: Terry Bailey (Willamette Valley CC – Canby, Ore.) – This award recognizes a Certified Handicap Chairperson of an OGA Member Club who has demonstrated extraordinary diligence in management and oversight of both the USGA Handicap System and GHIN.
- Club Executive of the Year: Laine Wortman (Emerald Valley GC – Creswell, Ore.) – This award recognizes exceptional leadership by a General Manager, Clubhouse Manager, Owner/Operator, PGA Professional or other similar position of a facility with an OGA member club.
- Superintendent of the Year: Roger Vandehey (Middlefield GC – Cottage Grove, Ore.) – This award recognizes a member of the Oregon Golf Course Superintendents Association (OGCSA) for outstanding contributions to the environment, the game of golf, the community or the OGA.
- Golf Course / Facility of the Year: Tualatin Country Club (Tualatin, Ore.) – This award recognizes an OGA facility for outstanding contributions to the game of golf, the community or the OGA.
