Winners Crowned at 2017 Charlotte's Tournament of Champions

SALEM, ORE. - The final sanctioned tournament of the year took place last weekend with the playing of the 2017 Charlotte's Tournament of Champions on Saturday, Sept. 9th at Creekside Golf Club in Salem.

Players in the Charlotte's Tournament of Champions had previously won their division at a sanctioned event during the 2017 season.

The Junior Boys Division (ages 16-18) was won by Chris Posner (Beaverton, Ore.), who fired 2-over par 74 to win by two shots over Kellen Bringhurst (Ridgefield, Wash.). The Girls Division (ages 15-18) saw Victoria Gailey (Tigard, Ore.) win after she fired a 3-over par 75. Emma Cox (Camas, Wash.) earned second place, one shot back of Gailey.

In the Boys Division (ages 14-15), Parker Krovisky (Bend, Ore.) shot a 2-over par 74 to win by six shots over the field. Danny Hext (Portland, Ore.) finished in second place at 6-over par. Ethan Tseng (Portland, Ore.) won the Intermediate Boys Division (ages 12-13) by shooting a 2-over par 74. Three players tied for second place, one shot back at 3-over par.

Kyra Ly (Portland, Ore.) earned the win in the Intermediate Girls Division (ages 12-14) in a playoff against Emily Song (Beaverton, Ore.) after both players shot 84 to tie for first.

The Pee Wee Boys 10-11 Division played 18 holes on Saturday, with Adam Wrenn (Lake Oswego, Ore.) firing a 75 to win by three shots over Alexander Hagen (Eugene, Ore.). The Pee Wee Girls 10-11 Division came down to a playoff, where Jacinda Lee (Camas, Wash.) defeated Natalie Yen (West Linn, Ore.) after both players shot 42. In the Pee Wee Boys 8-9 Division, Harrison Scott (Roseburg, Ore.) won by shooting a 39, while in the Pee Wee Girls 9-10 Division, Vishaka Priyan (Portland, Ore.) shot a 46 to win.
