REDMOND, Ore. – Following an opening round of 3-over 75, Alexa Udom (Portland, Ore.) cruised to a four-shot victory at the Central Oregon Jr. Championship with an even par 72. The first round of the Major Championship was held at Meadow Lakes Golf Course (Prineville, Ore.) and the final round took place at the Eagle Crest Ridge Course (Redmond, Ore.)
Joining Udom on the top of the leaderboard was Elli Gordon (Dallas, Ore.) with a 7-over 77-74—151. The third-place finisher in the Girls Open Division was Tannica Porter (Eugene, Ore.) with an 18-over 80-82—162.
The Boys Open Division medalist was Brody Marconi (Portland, Ore.), who fired a 4-under 71-69—140. Marconi came into the final round two shots off the lead of Nick Lasko (Clackamas, Ore.). Following a 3-under 33 on the front nine, Marconi cruised on the back-9 with an even par 36, for a 3-under 69.
Also finishing under par was hometown favorite Isaac Buerger (Redmond, Ore.), who finished with two 71’s for a 2-under 142. Owen Huntington (Camas, Wash.) finished in sole possession of third place following rounds of 73-71—144.
Perhaps the most impressive performance of the Central Oregon Jr. came from the Intermediate Girls Division. Jacinda Lee (Camas, Wash.) shot an impressive 70-74—144 to earn medalist in her division by 11 shots.
