Tim was first introduced to the game of golf by his Grandpa at age 10 where he played his first round of golf at McKay Creek Golf Course. On the first tee his Grandpa recommended he move up to the forward tees in front of the creek. Tim insisted to play from the same set of tees as everyone else and proceeded to clear the creek with his tee shot. He has been hooked to the game ever since.
Tim continued to play throughout his school years where he played on the Beaverton High School Varsity Golf Team. Shortly after graduation he played in the NHSCA tournament at the TPC of Virginia Beach, where he finished 4th to become a High School All-American. He continued to play in college at Concordia University.
After graduating from college at Concordia University he worked for the OGA in 2009 as a USGA P.J. Boatwright Intern for the Championship and Junior Golf Departments. He enjoyed everything about the position and knew he wanted a career working for a state golf association. This became reality in February of 2014 when he was hired as the OGA Operations Coordinator.
