Stotz Thoda, Karen Govier Earn Titles at 2018 Oregon Net Championship

WELCHES, Ore. - Stotz Thoda (Portland, Ore.) and Karen Govier (Silverton, Ore.) won their respective divisions at the 2018 Oregon Net Championship, held at Mt. Hood Oregon Resort in Welches, Ore. on Sept. 22-23, 2018.

The event consisted of 36 holes of strictly net competition. The men's division had three flights, while the women's division contained two flights.

Thoda played incredibly well over the two-day tournament, finishing at 15-under par net. Edward Lee (Portland, Ore.) earned second place and the win in Flight I, finishing at 8-under par net.

Rich Guasco (Happy Valley, Ore.) finished in third place overall and won Flight II, since Thoda earned the overall win. Winning Flight III was Tim Finley (Milwaukie, Ore.).

In the women's division, Govier finished as the only player under-par net, finishing at 6-under par to win by seven shots. Sharon Baum (Albany, Ore.) earned second place and the win in Flight I, finishing the two-day event at 1-over par net. Dianna Gray (Portland, Ore.) won Flight II, 5-over par net for the championship.
