PORTLAND, ORE. - Lara Tennant (Portland, Ore.) earned co-medalist honors during the stroke play portion of the 2017 U.S. Senior Women's Amateur Championship, held this week at her home course of Waverley Country Club in Portland.
Tennant, the winner of this year's Oregon Senior Women's Amateur and Oregon Women's Mid-Amateur Championships, will be the No. 1 for match play beginning on Monday.
Two more OGA members finished in the top-64 and advanced to the match play portion of the event. Terri Frohnmayer (Salem, Ore.) and Anita Wicks (Roseburg, Ore.) will both play first round matches on Monday. Frohnmayer won this Championship back in 2011, while Wicks is a four-time winner of the Oregon Senior Women's Stroke Play Championship and was the PNGA Senior Women's Player of the Year in 2016.
