The Oregon Golf Association has announced they will administer a second qualifier for the men's field of the Oregon Mid-Amateur Championship.
Qualifiers were introduced in 2016 when the field size for the Mid-Amateur was reduced from 156 to 84 players. The 84 player feld is comprised with 63 men and 21 women. The men's field is filled with players who advance through an 18 hole qualifier. A select few are exempt and are made up of past champions and those within the top off the 50 of the Men's performance points or top 25 of the Men's Mid-Amateur Performance points lists.
The 29th Oregon Mid-Amateur will be held at Arrowhead Golf Club, Molalla, Ore. July 15 - 16, 2017. The Mid-Amateur is open to OGA Members with a handicap of 10 or less.
The first qualifier will be held at the OGA Golf Course, on Sunday, June 11th. The size of the field will be limited to 156 players. The second qualifier will also held at the OGA Golf Course, on Tuesday June 13th. The size of this field will limited to 60 players.
