Zach Foushee (West Linn, Ore.) earned medalist honors after firing a 4-under par 68. Foushee shot 5-under 31 on the back nine, carding five birdies and no bogies during the final nine holes. May is once again Oregon Golf Month as announced in a State of Oregon Proclamation made recently by Governor Kate Brown. This marks the third consecutive year May will be Oregon Golf Month, a proclamation which highlights the important and crucial benefits of the golf industry to the State of Oregon. CALDWELL, IDAHO - The team representing the OGA finished in a tie for second at the 12th PNGA Cup, which finished up on Friday, May 5th at TimberStone Golf Course in Caldwell, Idaho. Team OGA was attempting to win back-to-back PNGA Cup titles after winning the competition in 2016. Team IGA, representing the Idaho Golf Association, won its first PNGA Cup on Friday, finishing with 15 points. KEVIN CHAPPELL CAPTURES VALERO TEXAS OPEN Kevin Chappell captured the Valero Texas Open title and win No. 462 on the PGA TOUR by a Web.com Tour alum. In 2010, Chappell graduated from the Web.com Tour with an impressive resume. WOODBURN, ORE. ­­– Twelve OGA competitors are set to compete for Team Oregon at the 12th PNGA Cup, held May 3-5 at TimberStone Golf Course in Caldwell, Idaho. The squad representing the OGA will be attempting to repeat as PNGA Cup champions, after winning the competition in 2016 at Richmond Country Club in Richmond, B.C.
