Naomi Ko shot 3-under par to finish as medalist at the U.S. Women’s Open Sectional Qualifier played Thursday at OGA Golf Course in Woodburn. Ko is joined by Auston Kim as players who advance to compete in the national championship scheduled for May 30-June 2 at Country Club of Charleston in Charleston, S.C. Ko, an amateur from Victoria, B.C., carded an opening-round 70 and followed that up with a final-round 71. Nate Blauer (Beaverton, Ore.), Rosie Cook (Bend, Ore.), and Pat O’Donnell (Happy Valley, Ore.) all won divisional titles at the 75th OGA Tournament of Champions played April 13-14 at Gearhart Golf Links in Gearhart, Ore. The event was decided by Sunday's 18-hole round, as Saturday's opening round was cancelled due to rain. WOODBURN, ORE. ­­– Lara Tennant (Portland, Ore.) and Pat O’Donnell (Happy Valley, Ore.) have been named the 2018 OGA Golfers of the Year, announced by the Oregon Golf Association on Friday.
