HOUSTON, TEXAS - Amanda Jacobs (Portland, Ore.) has advanced to the quarterfinals of the U.S Women's Mid-Amateur Championship for the second-consecutive year. Jacobs, 30, won two matches on Tuesday to advance to this year's final eight. In the round of 32 she defeated No. 11 seed Hana Kim (Los Angeles, Calif.) 3&2, while in the round of 16, Jacobs beat No. 6 seed Martha Leach (Hebron, Ky.) 3&1. WOODBURN, ORE. ­­– Four OGA competitors have earned 2017 PNGA Player of the Year honors for their respective division, announced Monday by the Pacific Northwest Golf Association (PNGA). Cole Madey (West Linn, Ore.), Gigi Stoll (Tigard, Ore.), Amanda Jacobs (Portland, Ore.), and Lara Tennant (Portland, Ore.) all won the distinction after stellar years in local, regional, and national events. MOLALLA, ORE. - The 2017 Women’s Interclub Play season came to a close this week as the Championship took place on Monday, October 16th at Arrowhead Golf Club in Molalla, Ore. It was a fun day to celebrate a season which had 16 Clubs competing from Vancouver, Wash. to Salem, Ore. competing in three divisions. PORTLAND, ORE. ­­– The 69th Hudson Cup and the 26th Senior Hudson Cup matches are set to take place this Thursday and Friday, Oct. 19-20 at Columbia Edgewater Country Club in Portland, Ore. Both competitions include amateurs and professionals from Oregon and Washington playing each other in the Ryder Cup-style matches. REDMOND, ORE. – The team representing Columbia Edgewater Country Club won the 90 th OGA Men’s Team Championship on Sunday, as the 2017 OGA Championship schedule wrapped up at Juniper Golf Course in Redmond, Ore. MEDINA, WASH. - Anita Wicks (Roseburg, Ore.) won her second-consecutive Pacific Northwest Senior Women's Amateur Championship on Tuesday, defeating Leslie Folsom (Tukwila, Wash.) in a playoff at Overlake Golf & Country Club in Medina, Wash.
