Collopy, Jacobs, Taylor Lead After Day One of 2018 Tournament of Champions

ALOHA, ORE. - Three players narrowly lead their respective divisions after the first day of the 2018 OGA Tournament of Champions, held April 7-8 at The Reserve Vineyards & Golf Club - South Course in Aloha, Ore.

Sean Collopy (Lake Oswego, Ore.) was the only player in the field to finish round one under par after firing a 1-under par 71 on Saturday. Collopy, who earned an invite to this year's Tournament of Champions by finishing on the winning team at last year's Men's Team Championship, leads 2008 Oregon Amateur champion Blake Seabaugh (Tigard, Ore.) by one. Eric Sundstrom (Corvallis, Ore.), Vance Lynch (Eugene, Ore.) and Robbie Ziegler (Portland, Ore.) are all two shots back of the lead at 1-over par.

Amanda Jacobs (Portland, Ore.), a member of last year's USGA State Team representing Oregon, shot a 5-over par 77 on Saturday, leading last year's OGA Women's Golfer of the Year, Lara Tennant (Portland, Ore.), by three shots in the Women's Division. Last year's Oregon Junior Amateur Champion, Ellie Slama (Salem, Ore.), is in third place at 9-over par.

In the Senior Men's Division, 2017 Hudson Cup team member Denny Taylor (Gladstone, Ore.) leads at 2-over par. Jackson Bentley (Portland, Ore.) and last year's Oregon Senior Men's Stroke Play champion Pat O'Donnell (Happy Valley, Ore.) are two shots back at 4-over par.
