Eligibility: 

Entries are open to amateur golfers who, as of September 22, 2014 are 50 years of age or older. 

Entries in the Men’s Division are limited to golfers with USGA Handicap Indexes™ of 10.0 and less. Entries in the Women’s Division are limited to golfers who are female with USGA Handicap Indexes™ of 22.4 and less. 

All entrants must be members in good standing of an OGA Member Club. Entries will be accepted according to the lowest USGA Handicap Indexes as of the entry deadline. The field will be limited to the lowest 96 qualified men and 48 qualified women.

 

Format: 

The Senior defending Men’s Champion Scott Hval and 31 finishers from the open division 18-hole stroke play qualifier will advance to the single elimination Championship flight match play portion of the competition, with the remaining entrants placed in single elimination match play flights according to score. There will be NO age bracket flights.

The Senior defending Women’s Champion Leilani Norman and 15 finishers from the open division 18-hole stroke play qualifier will advance to the Championship flight match play portion of the competition, with the remaining entrants placed in match play flights according to score.* The Women’s Division WILL have drop flights. There will be NO age bracket flights.  *The number of flights may change depending on the number of entrants, and may not guarantee a contestant a match play flight. All decisions made by the Committee will be final.

The Men’s and Women’s division champions will receive a trophy and awards, and the Championship Flight champions will receive a Jones Golf Bag.

Deadline details: 

A mailed entry must reach the OGA office by 5pm on Wednesday, September 3, 2014. Entries by telephone, FAX, or email must accompany payment. Online 
entries are accepted until midnight at www.oga.org. Late entries will be accepted and placed on an alternate’s list to fill spots if they become available 
up until a time that the OGA Staff establishes. Late entries will not be accepted unless they are accompanied by the correct entry fee, plus an additional fee of $25. Contestants must contact the OGA in order to submit a late entry.

$200.00

Fee details: 

$200.00 entry fee must accompany each entry and includes one practice round and two guaranteed rounds of competition, an OGA hosted lunch the first two days and tee prizes. Refunds are NOT available after the closing date of September 3, 2014, except for documented medical reasons. All refunds are subject to a $20.00 administrative fee.

Exemptions: 

All past Senior Amateur Champions are eligible for guaranteed entry into the Championship. Exempt players must meet the eligibility requirements and must enter by the entry deadline.

Practice round details: 

Practice round details will become available when determined by the OGA Championships Department & the golf course.
