22nd Oregon Public Links Set for Aug. 10-11 at Quail Valley

The 22nd playing of the Oregon Public Links Championship is set for Aug. 10-11 at Quail Valley Golf Club in Banks. The event is open only to golfers who are OGA Members at a public golf course.

The field includes a combined 115 male and female competitors. This 36-hole stroke play competition includes both Championship and Open flights.

Five previous event winners are in this year’s competition: Ryan Fery (2004), Chad Sawyer (2008 & 2009), Calvin Green (2016), Jennifer Krause (2017) and Max Murai (2017). Last year’s winners were Bryce Wortman on the men’s side and Ellen Secor on the women’s. Neither player is back in 2019 to defend their championship.

This is the second-to-last OGA Championship open to all golfers in this 2019 campaign. The last open registration competition is the 35th Oregon Net Championship schedule for Sept. 28-29 in Portland.

The OGA also has the 92nd OGA Men’s Team Championship (Sept. 21-22 – team entries submitted by clubs) and the 10th OGA Tour Championship (Oct. 5-6 – based on season’s OGA Tour Points Leaders) remaining on the calendar.
